Wedding Ceremonies

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Wedding ceremonies are performed by a 12^th District Court magistrate or judge and are held at the Jackson County Courthouse.   

Scheduling

Please contact the Civil Division at (517) 788-4037 one to two weeks prior to your requested date for scheduling.  

Day of Event

• Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time
• $15.00 cash only ceremony fee
• Additional $15.00 cash only certified mail fee if your marriage license is NOT issued in Jackson County.
• All copies of your marriage license
• Instruction sheet and envelope provided with your marriage license
• 2 witnesses over the age of 18 - The court will provided witnesses if needed
• Photos/Videos are allowed in the courtroom
