Commissioner Margie J. Walz was Appointed on 5/16/2023. She represents District 2 (PDF). Commissioner Walz also serves as a Precinct Delegate for District 2, Grass Lake.
Margie has over 25 years as a Registered Nurse serving in Critical Care, in addition to 6 years as a Clinical Nurse Manger. Margie has served as an Adjunct professor at Jackson College. Margie has also provided service as a volunteer at the Jackson County Fair, Hearts and Horses Therapeutic Riding Center, coached AYSO soccer and a 4-H leader.
Margie was born in Jackson, Michigan. She is a graduate of Grass Lake High School. She is a graduate of Jackson College, completed a Forensic Nursing Certificate from Kaplan College, and attained a Masters Degree in Nursing with a specialty in Education from Walden University.
