Principal Duties
- Certifies Warranty Deeds
- Collector of All Delinquent Property Taxes
- Collects Delinquent Personal Property Taxes for 18 Units
- Complete Responsibility of All County Bank Accounts
- Complete Responsibility of Delinquent Tax Revolving Funds - Which Enables All Units, Cities, Townships, Villages, Schools and Junior College to Have Full Use of Their Tax Levies
- Conducts Annual Tax Sales of Real Estate Properties Delinquent Three or More Years
- Custodian of All County Funds
- Handles Complete Program for Dog Licenses
- Handles Landfill Tickets and the Accounting
- Invests All County Monies
- Maintains General and Detail Ledgers
- Prepares and Mails Delinquent Tax Notices in Connection With Tax Histories and Searches

The County Treasurer is a member of the:
- County Election Commission,
- County Financial Management Committee,
- County Plat Board
- Jackson County Building Authority
- Support Staff of County Quality 1 (a total quality management concept)
