What is CodeRED® & Why is it Important to Me
CodeRED® is an Emergency Notification System, which allows Jackson County to contact residents and businesses in the event of an emergency in their area. The system has several different methods of contacting citizens including traditional residential landlines, business lines, voice pagers, VoIP or digital "cable" phones, and cell phones.
CodeRED® is an enhancement to existing means of communication and is meant to supplement current or past systems used for mass notification.
Jackson County's CodeRED®
Jackson County has contracted with Emergency Communications Network, Inc., of Ormond Beach, Florida, for its "CodeRED®" high-speed telephone emergency notification services.

Register for CodeRED®
Any message regarding the safety, property or welfare of the community will be disseminated using the CodeRED® system. These may include AMBER alerts, notifications of hazardous traffic or road conditions, boil water advisories or evacuation notices.
Citizen Certainty On Contact
CodeRED® updates the System several times a year using multiple national phone listing databases and current 911 Center data. If your phone number is unlisted, you have recently moved, or if you only have a cellular phone, we may not have your information. Even if you have a listed home phone number, you should still register. To add your contact information to the CodeRED® system, go to the Community Notification Enrollment page.
CodeRED® Support TTY for the Hearing Impaired
Please go to the CodeRED® Community Notification Enrollment page. When completing the online form you must click on the TTY option on the bottom of the page.
No Extra Pay
CodeRED® is entirely paid for under a grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
CodeRED® Call My Place of Business
Please go to the CodeRED® Community Notification Enrollment page. When the Residential Data Collection form opens, click on the button labeled "Click to Switch to Business Data" and fill in the required information. Please note that emergency calls can only be delivered to a direct dial number. Automated attendants will disrupt the process and calls will not be delivered.
