Detention

The Jackson County Youth Center (JCYC) operates a 24 bed juvenile detention unit which houses juvenile offenders who are involved in the criminal court system and have been ordered by the Jackson County Circuit-Family-Probate Court. The unit has an average length of stay between 15 and 20 days.
The unit is one component of the Youth Center and strictly adheres to the Mission and Vision statements of the Center. While detained on the unit youth are provided a safe, supportive, and structured environment while in our care. All residents are closely monitored 24 hours a day by our highly professional staff.
